Each DarwinIA allocation programme sets a minimum rating that a DARWIN must achieve by the end of the month to receive a capital allocation. This article explains how the rating is calculated for both DarwinIA SILVER and DarwinIA GOLD.
How is it measured?
DarwinIA SILVER
Receiving an allocation depends solely on your own performance — you are not competing against other traders. All DARWINs that reach the minimum rating receive an allocation.
Rating calculation
The DarwinIA rating is a proprietary score that combines three inputs, each with a different weight:
- Current calendar month return (22%).
- Previous last 5 months return plus current month's return (67%).
- Maximum drawdown across the current month and preceding 5 calendar months (11%).
Therefore, the most heavily weighted metric is the combined return across the last 5 calendar months plus the current month.
In addition, to encourage long-term trading, extra points are given for long track records:
- +1 point for DARWINs with a track-record between 6 an 12 months.
- +2 points for DARWINs with a track-record between 12 and 18 months.
- +3 points for DARWINs with a track-record of more than 18 months.

Rating allocation
By getting the corresponding minimum rating of 75 each month, you will be guaranteed a capital allocation. In addition, you will be eligible for a higher allocation if your DARWIN is among the top-ranked at the end of the month
DarwinIA GOLD
The rating calculation method is the same as for DarwinIA SILVER. However, to receive an allocation, your DARWIN must rank among the top performers in the DarwinIA GOLD ranking at the end of the month. You can check the current month's ranking here
