How to import a track record from another broker into Darwinex Zero?
If you already trade with a live MetaTrader account at another broker, you can import your trading history into Darwinex Zero.
Your imported trades will become part of your signal account's track record and will count towards the calibration phase. If your existing history already meets the calibration requirements, your DARWIN can be created sooner.
What are the requirements to import my track record?
To import your trading history, you must meet the following conditions:
- Your broker has to allow access to your account's full trading history.
- At least 95% of the trades were opened on assets offered by Darwinex.
- At least 95% of the account's total return was achieved on assets offered by Darwinex.
- Calibration phase: Your Zero account must still be in the calibration phase. Once your DARWIN has been created, importing a track record is no longer possible.
- Trading platform: Both accounts must use the same platform, either MT4 or MT5. TradingView accounts are not supported.
- Live account: Only trading history from real accounts can be imported. Demo accounts are not eligible.
- External broker: The account must belong to another broker. Existing Darwinex accounts cannot be imported.
- Investor password: You must provide your MetaTrader investor password (read-only access).
How do I import my track record?
Follow these steps:
- Log in to your Darwinex Zero account and navigate to My DARWIN → Signal Account.
- Click Import track record at the top of the page.
- Review the information displayed and click Import track record again.
- Select your broker's server from the available list.
- Enter your trading account login and investor password.
- Review the information and confirm your request.
Darwinex Zero will connect to your external account and retrieve your eligible trading history.
Which trades will be imported?
The following rules apply:
- Trades are imported up to the date and time your Zero account was opened.
- Positions still open at that moment are recorded as closed at that point.
- Only trades involving assets supported by Darwinex Zero are included.
- Trades are imported with their original values, without adjusting them to your Zero account balance.
- Your DARWIN will reflect the returns generated by the imported trading history.
Will my imported track record count towards DarwinIA?
Your imported history counts towards the calibration phase, but does not count towards your DarwinIA Rating or the track record length bonus.
Likewise, imported history does not count towards DarwinIA GOLD requirements. Only trading history generated directly in Darwinex Zero is considered for GOLD eligibility.
The import process may take up to one hour after submitting your request. While your import request is being processed, your DARWIN cannot be created. You can continue trading on your Zero account while the import is processed.
Your external trading history is only imported up to the moment your Zero account was opened, preventing overlap with your new Zero trades.
Can I edit or cancel an import request?
Yes. While a standard import request is in progress, you can edit or cancel it from the Signal Account section.
If you cancel your request, you can submit a new one as long as your Zero account remains in the calibration phase.
What happens if the import fails?Once the process is completed, you will see its status in the Signal Account section.
If the import was successful, your external trading history will be included in your signal account.
If the import fails:
- Verify that you selected the correct broker server.
- Check your trading account login and investor password.
- Confirm that your external trading account is still active.
- Click Try again to submit a new request.
If the issue persists and cannot be resolved from your account, contact info@darwinexzero.com.
Why can't I see the option to import my track record?
The import option is only available:
- For MT4 and MT5 accounts.
- During the calibration phase.
- Before your DARWIN has been created.
TradingView accounts are not eligible.
If your DARWIN has already been created, you cannot import additional historical trades. However, if you restart your Zero account, the option will become available again during the new calibration phase.
