Metrics & graphs update frequency

Although our ultimate aim is to offer live analytics, we currently offer different levels of update frequencies depending on the graph/metric.

DARWIN metrics are updated at four different frequencies — from real-time updates for VaR and D-Leverage, to once-daily updates for most graphs, tables, and scores.

Types of metrics and updates

There are four update frequency tiers across DARWIN analytics metrics:

  • VaR and D-Leverage: Updated in real time. This data is not directly visible to traders, but drives the Risk Engine.
  • DARWIN quotes and returns: Updated every minute.
  • DARWIN drawdown graphs: Updated once per hour.
  • DARWIN graphs, tables, scores, and analysis: Updated once daily during the European night session. Exceptions include Return distribution and trading days, which are updated in real time.
